Scientists at the Fraunhofer succeeded in constructing transparent OLED displays. First flat screen technology was Liquid Crystal Display technology (LCD), then plasma, then Surface-conduction Electron-emitter (SED) and now Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED).
